Out with the Old…

Well, luckily we still own both. The logo contest is over and we have chosen our winner.

I have a love hate relationship with the old logo. I mean, I was never thrilled about it, but it was the first. Even though I wasn’t crazy about the design, I was able to pull meaning out of i; “we dot the i’s and cross the t’s in I.T.” Cheesy, I know. All in all I’m pretty please with the new logo. I truly speaks of being ready, being available and that’s without any added slogans. Well, slowly we begin the transition of a new era.

How do I find the time to blog?

Truthfully, I do it when I feel the need to get away from the things I’m focusing on. It’s the only way for me because I really don’t have the time.

I’ve always been told I’m a pack rat. So recently I’ve been throwing away things I haven’t used in a long time. They say if you haven’t used it in 5 years, you don’t need it. Well, I came across my MCP Card (Microsoft Certified Professional) and said to myself, it’s been a long way from this certification that I haven’t used or needed in more than the past 5 years and think I through it away.

Well, after joining Microsoft’s Partner program, I was told if I have an MCP, I can use that to become a Small Business Specialist Partner. WHAT!!!!! This is why I “think” I threw it out; because I’m hoping, just hoping I really didn’t. Now I’m turning everything upside down to find out. Last time I listen to anyone who tells me being a pack rat is not good.

New Logo Contest

After partnering with a few well known companies, it was time to see if we should go with a new logo. One that stands well next to the major manufactureres. So, we started a new logo creation contest to run through August 7th. If you know of any well known logo designers, pass this on. Also take a look and let us know which one you think is best.

Sadly, this is my first post of this blog which I’m now dedicating to my experiences in starting, running and growing my own business. The part that is sad is I’ve missed out on the opportunity to share the prior 3 years from start-up until now. But that’s o.k., today is the beginning of documenting the exciting ride of growing I.T. On Call Inc.

I don’t know where it will end up, but Thank’s to God and God alone, things are going pretty well even in this topsy turvy economy. My hope for this blog is that it will be a place where others can draw from my own experiences and even place to network (as if we need another place to network online right?).

Anyway, the ribbon is cut and here… we… go…
